VIGOR at Thursday's on First, Giving Deep Discounts to Promote Vegetarianism
VIGOR is setting up at Thursdays on First Downtown Rochester this summer open for business from 11:00am to 8:30pm every Thursday July 16th through August 27th! Our stand will be located near the stage on the south end of 1st avenue SW between 2nd and 3rd streets.
The first Thursday we plan to sell Oat Pecan Burgers and Blue Sky Organic soda catered by the Good Food Store's Backroom Deli. To promote vegetarianism an anonymous VIGOR sponsor is subsidizing the food cost so we can give the veggie burger and soda combo away for a very low price! We plan to start out charging $1.00 for the combo and see how it goes.
We encourage you to spread the word to non-vegetarians to get them to come down for a healthy yet delicious and filling vegan meal on VIGOR and take home some literature on the benefits of a plant-based diet. Please feel free to stop by and if you are already vegetarian we would appreciate a donation for the cause. The retail value of the soda and burger is $7.00.
We also plan to sell homemade crafts (such as organic herbal fragrance sachets) or possibly garden items of VIGOR members who are interested in helping staff the food stand. Ideas on what to sell in the future are very welcome. Please fill out our contact form.
